After I called 311 and made an official complaint about Verizon yesterday, a woman (manager) called me in the morning to talk about what I can do to solve the problem. After long negotiation, she asked me to fax her my monthly payment (as a proof that I pay). I need to fax it because it is the "policy." I said my fax is off, can I email you instead. She said "no, because it is the policy." Of course, she weren't that friendly either. I said, "that's ok. May I speak to your manager." "I am the manager," she said. "what's your name, and who is above you?" I said. "oh.. fine," very angrily, "she will call you in 10 min," she said and hung up the phone.
10 minutes later, some lady called, claiming that she is the manager of all other managers, and agree to receive my bank statement from email (suddenly, this is not in the policy anymore), and agree to change the name of the account. Of course, with a very friendly attitude. I complained about people's attitude in verizon (with their names) and let her go. My phone was reconnected again.
What a democratic society.
