Today was the Candle light ceremony. It was nice and sweet. One of the highlights of the ceremony was introducing a dedicated NY TzuChi member-Ichiban's father and my godfather. The crew created a nice documentary film and a great choreographed performance to introduce him. My godfather and godmother went on the stage to be thanked by the audience. Very impressive.

sounds very nice! how were the cmc dharma talks?
the CMC dharma talk is like watching 24. She just kept saves the best for the next class.
Went to the "Rice Stalk Sutra" talk today. As is becoming customary, Guo Che Fashih spent the 1.5 hour talking about intro, and then briefly touched upon dependent origination and the sutra itself, then promised to spill all the good beans in the next class (which is next Friday). This sutra is all about dependent origination, in the context of 3-generation-12-links. I'm thinking about going to the grand-finale this coming Friday. How about you guys?
wow.. how come I am not surprised?? I may stop by for the grand finale if the time allowed. I need to pick up my mom from the airport that day at JFK.
the rice stalk sutra on friday sounds good.
no wonder they said they felt so tired.. haa
they should be tired. They were waiting at the backstage for like 2-3 hours plus. The film showed that your father walked from home to tzuchi, which looks like it would take forever, than it was even more dramatic when your dad walked slowly on to the stage with your mom.
I heard that put many people in tears! Tzu-Chi, master at tear jerking. My dad said that photographer was pretty darn annoying when he was walking to Tzu-Chi.
