Havn't done my full body check up for the past 3-4 years. I hate to have my blood work done because I have blood phobia. Avoidance just makes it worse.
Usually, when my blood is drawn I try not to look at it, because if I do, I may feel fainting. In fact, approximately 70 percent of individuals with blood-related phobias report that they have fainted.
This time, I got curious, so I looked. Not surprisingly, I started to feel disgusted:) I think last time I felt this way was when I saw MeiNu (one of the TzuChin) at the dialysis center with her huge surgery wound on her arm.
It is an easy problem to treat, but the treatment process is not fun, so I guess my phobia is going to be my good friend for a long time:)

I am glad our conversation pushed you a step forward. Like you see you don't need to "look" to accomplish this "difficult" mission. Blood phobia and blood drawn can coexist together.
As a friend: OH PLEASE! GET OVER IT! YOU $^^$#@#^.

Thank you both for your kindly support:)
this from a guy who likes to watch horror movies and read horror comics. how ironic!
"how ironic"
that's what I thought too:)
Well I think the fear of blood is something of a primal fear, a fear that goes beyond the conscious level.
Horror movie, on the other hand, is a cerebral experience, I think. What troubles me is not usually the movie per se, but the disturbing feeling the movie left me after it's over.
Peter,
乖, 不要怕...
