I am finding a good movie to play in a Buddhist camp for all ages: age 8 and above. I kind of don't care about the rating of the film either, as long as the film can generate good Zen discussions.
Thus far, I can only think of the following:
*Crash
*Babel
*An Inconvenient Truth
*What the Bleep do you know?
*Fahrenheit 9/11
What I really want to show are:
*Silence of the Lamb.....:)
*Ju-On.....
*The ring..
any suggestions are welcome

Here are some good ones:
1. Back to the Future (cause & effect)
2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (human greed & honesty)
3. Men of Honor (courage & heroism)
4. Showgirls (空即是色.. 色即是空)
And of course your favorite…….
5. Borat ( 四大皆空)
Pete, somehow the idea of Buffalo Bill skinning his latest victim and "Age 8 and up" just don't go together, don't you think?... And I think while both "Crash" and "Babel" are great movies in their own right, the issued discussed in them may just not be relevant enough to your audience to compel any constructive discussion.
I recently watched a movie called "Awakenings" starring Robert DeNiro and Robin Williams. The movie centers around a group of catatonic patients in a psychiatric institute in Bronx in the late 60's. They were victims of the great Encephalitis epidemic, forever locked in a stone-like state since the 20's. And as the movie unfolds, we are invited to meditate on the strangeness and wonder of the human personality. Who are we, anyway? And if one has no hope, which is better: To remain hopeless, or to be given hope and then lose it again?
That's my suggestion. Good luck with the camp.
