Research Assistant Selection

Just finished all the interviews. Now I have to make a decision on my final 3 pick.

1) a Jewish girl who graduated from Stanford, has many research experiences, but has no experience in Buddhism or mindfulness or meditation.

2) a black guy who can speak mandarin, has ability to meditate in horse stand one hour a day (was trained in Chan style Taichi), shows a lot of interest in meditation research, reading dimond sutra (in Chinese), go to Chan Center, but has no research experience.

3) a beautiful blond (should know how to type), who has not much research experience, does yoga, has interest in Buddhism research, but bad reference.

So, who should I pick?

Choose 1: If you want connections in the field and hope that one day you can work with her.

Choose 2: If you want to have someone cool to hangout with. If he plays basketball its a plus

Choose 3: If you are NOT married. Too bad 4 you.

I asked this black dude to come on board, and he said he needs two days to think through it. I was about to say - Don't worry, you can sit home and count your fingers. However, I figure I should just be nice to him, because I was ill treated when I asked to think about it for one day.
